Our Purpose Statement
The purpose of the DMAMEA is to offer entertainers the opportunity to share common resources, privileges and
services that are "exclusive" to its members. A great way DMAMEA serves musicians and entertainers is as a
support system. DMAMEA has made venues available for entertainers and musicians within the performing artsarena and assisted with financial support during bereavement, medical care cost and other issues. As an interestgroup, DMAMEA works on behalf of the people of the City of Detroit and metropolitan areas to assist in bringingforth recognition for the honorable status Detroit possesses as “The Music Capital of the World”.
