The mission of The Detroit Metro Area Musicians and Entertainers Association (DMAMEA) is to assist all Fine and Performing Artists as a platform to excel in all aspects of entertainment.

The purpose of the DMAMEA is to offer entertainers the opportunity to share common resources, privileges and services that are “exclusive” to its members. A great way DMAMEA serves musicians and entertainers is as a support system. DMAMEA has made venues available for entertainers and musicians within the performing arts arena and assisted with financial support during bereavement, medical care cost and other issues.

As an interest group, DMAMEA works on behalf of the people of the City of Detroit and metropolitan areas to assist in bringing forth recognition for the honorable status Detroit possesses as “The Music Capital of the World”.
